Kyra Minturn

 Kyra Minturn (born on 19th August 1965), is an American actress. Her role as the main character on TNT's crime drama The Closer as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson is her most famous. Sedgwick received a Golden Globe Award in 2007 for her performance as Johnson as well as an Emmy Award 2010 for her portrayal. The series ended following its seventh season. Sedgwick is also famous for her regular role as Madeline Wuntch on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick was nominated to an Golden Globe award in 1995 for her role on Something to Talk About. Sedgwick's other film appearances include Oliver Stone's Born on the Fourth of July (1989), Cameron Crowe's Singles (1992), Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996) and What's cooking (2000), Secondhand Lions (2003), The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald who was an therapist for speech and family, as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick IV Venture capitalist. Her birthplace was in New York City. Her mother was Jewish, and her father was an Episcopalian. She was also of English heritage. Sedgwick declares that she is Jewish and claims she is a member of Passover seders.
